United Farm Workers leader Cesar Chavez led a group of about 100 people Thursday in chants during a noon gathering to protest Vons markets and pesticide use on grapes.
Protesters from the community as well as members from about 15 unions, including striking Greyhound bus drivers, showed up at the rally at a Vons market in the 3600 block of Midway Drive.
