Crespi driver Rusty King had three goals and Vince Greco added two. Crespi goalie Tim Behrens recorded 12 saves.
BOYS’ CROSS-COUNTRY
Notre Dame 17, Crespi 43--Senior Eddie Diaz timed 17 minutes 23 seconds on the three-mile course at Pierce College as the Knights swept the top four places and ended a five-year drought against the Celts in the Mission League opener for both schools.
GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL
Chaminade d. Louisville, 15-7, 15-5, 15-8--Pam Powers recorded 12 kills and Noelle Nonaka 20 assists as the Eagles (2-1) notched their first win over the Royals (0-2) in five years in a nonleague match at Chaminade.
Royal d. Arcadia, 15-3, 15-9, 15-4--Stacy Kaufmann and Becky Campbell each had seven kills and Kaufmann added seven digs as the Highlanders improved to 2-0 with a nonleague win at home.
Montclair Prep d. Buckley, 15-9, 15-10, 15-4--Maria Cicione (nine kills) and Kendra Dousette (seven) led Montclair Prep (2-0) in a nonleague game at Buckley.
La Reina d. Santa Paula, 15-12, 15-1, 15-7--Amy Crotty, a setter, had nine kills to pace host La Reina (2-0) and Shannon Mahan added five kills for the winners in a nonleague match.
Burroughs d. Bell-Jeff, 15-13, 15-17, 15-2, 15-11--Jennifer Wagner had 29 kills and 14 blocks for Burroughs (3-0) in a nonleague match at Burroughs.
L.A. Baptist d. Oak Park, 15-7, 5-15, 15-2, 11-15, 15-10--Outside hitter Monica Davis had 10 kills and Amy Anderson added 19 assists for L.A. Baptist (2-0) in a nonleague match at Oak Park.
Thousand Oaks d. Notre Dame, 15-12, 10-15, 15-3, 15-5--Aimee Stone had 10 kills for Thousand Oaks in a nonleague match at Notre Dame (1-2).
Setter Jennifer Streltzoff had 36 assists for Thousand Oaks (2-0).
MEN’S SOCCER
North Texas 1, The Master’s College 0--Tommy St. John scored the only goal of the match at the 19-minute mark of the first half in a nonconference match in Denton, Tex.
North Texas, a Division I school, outshot Master’s, 18-9. Goalkeeper Allan Bowden recorded five saves for Master’s (2-2-1).
