Franklin Reports Profit of $80,000 in 2nd Quarter

Franklin Telecommunications Corp. in Westlake Village reported an $80,000 profit for its fiscal second quarter, contrasted with a $98,000 loss a year earlier.

Franklin, which supplies equipment for communications networks, said the improved results for the quarter ended Dec. 31 came despite a 28% decline in its revenue, to $1.08 million from $1.49 million.

For the first half of its fiscal year, Franklin Telecommunications earned $106,000, compared with a year-earlier loss of $73,000, and its six-month revenue fell 17% to $2.63 million from $3.17 million.
