Master’s to Play Host in NAIA Playoff Game

The Master’s College will play host in a postseason basketball game for the first time tonight at 7:30 when the Mustangs meet Southern California College in the opening round of the National Assn. of Intercollegiate Athletics District 3 playoffs.
Master’s (19-10) is seeded fourth. Southern California College (23-7), ranked No. 25 in the latest NAIA national poll, is seeded fifth.
Forward Tom Bruner leads a trio of Master’s players scoring in double figures.
Bruner has a 14.5 average, followed by Stuart Epperson (12.2) and Jason Webster (11.5).
The winner of tonight’s game advances to the district semifinals Saturday at Whittier College. The championship game will be played at Whittier on March 5.
