KCBS Cuts the News: KCBS’s 3-4 p.m. newscast, added at the start of the Persian Gulf War, will have its last broadcast Friday, replaced by reruns of “Quincy, M.E.” The station is resuming its prewar schedule of a half-hour newscast anchored by Tritia Toyota and Michael Tuck at 6., followed by “The CBS Evening News With Dan Rather” at 6:30. Rather has been anchoring an hourlong network newscast at 6.
