COLLEGE BASEBALL ROUNDUP : Cal Lutheran Posts 10th Win in Row, 17-2

The Cal Lutheran baseball team won its 10th consecutive game with a 17-2 NAIA District 3 romp over visiting Biola on Thursday.
Pete Washington led the Kingsmen’s 15-hit attack with a single, double and home run and drove in seven runs. Dan Weis hit two homers for Cal Lutheran (22-6, 7-2).
The Master’s 11, Southern California College 3--Sheldon Sparks was two for three with three runs batted in and Tony Jaime added two hits and two RBIs for host Master’s (20-14, 13-6) in an NAIA District 3 game.
Glendale 7, Moorpark 6--With the score tied, 5-5, host Glendale took advantage of a leadoff walk and a throwing error by reliever Rob Teasdale to score two runs in the eighth to pull out a Western State Conference victory. Brandon Banaga and Chris Chandler each had two hits for Moorpark (13-21, 5-11).
Oxnard 8, Santa Monica 7 (10 innings)--Jeremy Herider’s sacrifice fly with the bases loaded and one out in the 10th inning gave host Oxnard a Western State Conference win. Bryan Lovelace and Carlos Cardenas each had two hits for Oxnard (18-16, 10-6).
Ventura 16, Valley 5--Host Ventura banged out 15 hits to support the complete-game pitching of Eric Raba (4-4) in a Western State Conference game.
