CNN Expands: Amid the climate of belt tightening and news personnel layoffs at the other networks, Cable News Network said Thursday it is spending $2 million to open new bureaus in Jordan, India and Brazil. The offices in Amman, New Delhi and Rio de Janeiro will boost CNN’s number of foreign bureaus to 27.
