Former Glendale City Councilman Jerold F. Milner has been elected president of the Glendale Symphony Orchestra Assn. A retired Pacific Bell executive, Milner decided not to seek reelection to the council in April after serving eight years, including two terms as mayor. He replaces Donald L. Platz, who will remain on the association board. The orchestra will begin its 68th consecutive season this fall.
The Glendale Assn. for the Retarded has elected financial consultant Jack Quinn as its president for 1991-92. Quinn, a broker with Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith, is past president of the Glendale Chamber of Commerce and was the chamber’s Man of the Year in 1987. The association, founded in 1954, provides such services as training, employment and housing for retarded adults.
