‘Voyage’ to the Met: The Metropolitan Opera, having just presented the world premiere of John Corigliano’s “The Ghosts of Versailles,” will offer another world premiere during its 1992-93 season. Philip Glass’ new opera, “The Voyage,” commissioned for the 500th anniversary of Columbus’ arrival in the New World, will premiere on Columbus Day. Prior to “Versailles,” the Met had not premiered an opera in 25 years.
