Wiseburn School District trustees appointed a parent activist and a former trustee to fill the unexpired terms of two board members who resigned from the Hawthorne elementary school district’s board for personal reasons.
Sworn onto the board Tuesday night were Gloria Gallella, 38, a past president of the Parent Teacher Assn. at Richard Henry Dana School, and former trustee Aaron (Ron) Nathanson, 62, a textile broker, trader and consultant who served on the district board from 1960 to 1980.
The new members replace Angelina Garza, a two-year board member who resigned Oct. 31, and Richard C. Wilson, a 20-year board veteran who resigned Dec. 16.
The new trustees’ terms expire in November, 1993.
