Resentful, Not Angry
Your reporter wrote a good article about the meeting at Leisure Village regarding the paramedic service (“Senior Citizens Angry at Paramedic Service”, Jan. 4).
However, as one of the attendees of the meeting, I very much resent the headline and the first words of the article describing “an angry group.” Those present were there to be informed and to participate in whatever steps are needed to improve the situation. Your reporter very likely sensed resentment of the exorbitant fees charged by Pruner Ambulance Co. However, a disservice was done to the residents of Leisure Village by the usage of “angry.”
