Brent Frohoff of Hermosa Beach and Mike Whitmarsh of Manhattan Beach upset the third-seeded team of Karch Kiraly and Kent Steffes, 15-12, to win the $75,000 Miller Lite Open at New Orleans.
Although it was Frohoff’s 13th career title on the Pro Beach Volleyball circuit, it was Whitmarsh’s first.
