OCEANSIDE : Cabdriver Found Shot to Death

A taxicab driver was shot and killed during an apparent robbery, police said Monday.
Roderick T. Thompson, 41, an independent driver for Yellow Cab, had been missing since Saturday night. He was discovered by police Sunday in the 1900 block of Henie Hills Drive, slumped behind the steering wheel of his cab. He had been shot in the head, Officer Kevin Jankowski said.
