CAMARILLO : Airport Plans to Add 50 Hangars
- Share via
Camarillo Airport officials are planning to add 50 new hangars to the airport in 1993 to give aircraft owners on a long waiting list a place to park their planes.
Marshall MacKinen, Ventura County airports administrator, said Monday that almost 80 people are on the waiting list, adding that the turnover for hangars is extremely slow.
MacKinen plans to apply for a state grant to pay 80% or 90% of the cost, which is estimated at $25,000 to $30,000 per hangar. However, if they do not get the grant, the airport could take the money from its enterprise fund.
