Back to Square One: Moscow’s Red Square, once a symbol of Soviet communism, will host an eight-day festival July 4-11 to raise money for the arts and try to attract foreign capitalists. Singer Jose Carreras and soloists from the Bolshoi Ballet and the New York City Ballet are scheduled to perform at the government-sponsored “Red Square Invites” festival.
