Chrysler Sees Best Truck Sales in 4 Years: Chrysler Corp., riding a surge of popularity for its minivans, said it sold more than 1 million light trucks in 1992--up 20% from a year ago and its best performance in four years. The light-truck category consists of minivans, pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles such as the new Jeep Grand Cherokee. Chrysler had a 21% share of the 1992 U.S. light-truck market, according to company estimates. The auto maker said it set a new record for minivan sales and expects to end the year with 522,373 sales in the United States and Canada.
