PARIS — President Bush will have talks with French President Francois Mitterrand on Sunday, Mitterrand’s spokesman said Friday.
Jean Musitelli said Bush will stop in Paris on his way back from a Moscow summit to sign the START II nuclear disarmament agreement with Russian President Boris N. Yeltsin.
“The president (Mitterrand) has a special relationship of esteem and friendship with Mr. Bush, and he wished to meet him before the end of his mandate,” Musitelli said.
Bush and Mitterrand will discuss nuclear disarmament, Operation Restore Hope in Somalia and the situation in the former Yugoslavia.
