Harold Leads Cal at UCI Swim Meet

IRVINE — Larissa Harold of California set two individual swimming records and was part of the relay team that set another as the Golden Bear women’s team dominated the UC Irvine Invitational Sunday.
Cal won the two-day competition with 882 points. Fresno State (811) was second, Nevada Las Vegas (746) third and Rice (402) fourth. UC Irvine (127) finished seventh.
Harold set meet marks in the 200 individual medley (2 minutes 7.82 seconds) and the 400 IM (4:27.54). She also was a member of the 200 medley relay that won in 1:35.08.
Lisa Hadfield of Fresno State, formerly of Golden West College, won the 200 butterfly in 2:05.51.
Cal State Bakersfield dominated the men’s competition, winning with 1,051 points. Nevada Las Vegas (641) was second, and Fresno State (515) third.
Rasmus Jensen won the 100 freestyle (46.91) and the 200 butterfly (1:53.90) for Bakersfield.
