Monarch Bancorp Nets Profit in ’95

LAGUNA NIGUEL — Monarch Bancorp, the holding company for Monarch Bank, posted a profit for 1995, compared with a loss the previous year.
Monarch said net income for 1995 was $685,000, or 14 cents a share, contrasted with a net loss of $1.9 million, or $2.33 a share, for 1994. The company earned $395,000 in the fourth quarter, compared with a loss of $1.3 million for the same period a year ago. Total assets at the end of 1995 were $66 million, 10% higher than the $60 million reported at the end of 1994.
