A 66-year-old man crossing the street at Tustin Ranch Road and Adams Drive was hit and killed by a driver Wednesday evening, police said.
Fuh “Gary” Siang Chen of Tustin attempted to cross the intersection, which is controlled by stop signs, about 8:18 p.m. when he was struck by a 1987 Mercedes driven by a 20-year-old Santa Ana man, police said.
Chen was taken to Western Medical Center-Santa Ana with a massive trauma to his right leg, internal and head injuries. He died before surgery, police said.
Traffic officers are investigating the crash to determine the cause.
