Mission Viejo’s football team has been awarded a forfeit victory because Santa Fe Springs St. Paul used an ineligible player, the Southern Section office announced Thursday.
St. Paul forfeited only one game, its 17-6 nonleague victory over Mission Viejo in the first week of the season, for using an ineligible player.
Mission Viejo’s record is now 5-3 overall. St. Paul is 6-2.
