Events Celebrate Multicultural Month

Cal State Fullerton is celebrating diversity this month with lectures, panel discussions and a series of special events.
Multicultural Diversity Month festivities begin today with Asian Day, a display of ethnic art, food and entertainment.
Other highlights:
* Teatro Chicano, an evening of Chicano theater, Friday, 7-9 p.m., in the Garden Cafe;
* Study Abroad Fair, information on international study, work and travel programs, Tuesday, 9:30 a.m., in the Quad;
* Hereandnow Theatre Company, an Asian American theater group, Tuesday, 7-9:30 p.m., Titan Student Union;
* New Directions in Ethnic & Women’s Studies conference, Oct. 22, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Titan Student Union;
* An address and book signing by Harvard University professor Cornel West, author of best-selling “Race Matters,” Oct. 22, 7:30 p.m., Titan Pavilion;
* Citizenship in a Multicultural Society, a town hall meeting, Oct. 27, 7 p.m., Titan Student Union.
