The City Council is planning to create a citizens committee to study issues of beach pollution and water quality related to the San Gabriel River and its effect on the beach. The committee, according to Mayor Paul Yost, would look at ways of measuring water quality and how to get funding and legislation that would help keep the beach clean. Citizens who are interested in serving can contact their council member.
