No Interest Rate Changes Expected From Fed Panel

The Federal Reserve’s policymaking panel, the Federal Open Market Committee, meets to consider monetary policy. With the economy growing at a healthy clip but inflation muted, Fed policymakers are widely expected to leave interest rates alone. The FOMC’s last interest rate cut was Nov. 17, when it cut its benchmark rate on overnight loans between banks from 5.5% to 4.75%.
