Amgen has announced that Fabrizio Bonanni will join the company as senior vice president for quality and compliance.
Bonanni most recently held the position of corporate vice president for regulatory/clinical affairs at Baxter International. He succeeds Daryl Hill, who retired from Amgen on March 15 after 15 years with the company.
Bonanni, who holds a doctorate in chemistry from the University of Florence, Italy, will join Amgen effective April 12.
“As we launch more products and start up major new manufacturing facilities, his experience and talent will be invaluable to our company,” said Gordon Binder, chairman and chief executive officer of the Thousand Oaks-based biotechnology giant.
