Cal State Sacramento Signs Pierce’s Lusk

David Lusk, an All-Western State Conference Southern Division catcher from Pierce College, has signed with Cal State Sacramento.
Lusk, from Kennedy High, batted .359 with 34 runs batted in.
* Matt Schwartz, an all-league outfielder for El Camino Real, is no longer with the team because of disciplinary reasons, according to Coach Bob Ganssle.
BASKETBALL
* Derek Wynn, an assistant coach at Upland High the last four seasons, has been hired as boys’ coach at Calabasas.
SUMMER CAMPS
* The Notre Dame High sports camp for boys and girls 6-12 will run from June 21-July 30. Cost is $125 for each one-week session.
Advanced camps for athletes 10-14 will be held in football, baseball, basketball, girls’ volleyball and girls’ soccer.

* The Point Guard & Perimeter Play Camp offered by Cal Lutheran for boys and girls in grades 3-12 will be July 12-14 in the school’s gymnasium.
Rich Rider, men’s basketball coach, will run the camp. Cost is $105.

* Two sessions of the Santa Clarita Summer Basketball Camp will be offered for boys and girls 6-16 at College of the Canyons.
The first session is scheduled for June 21-25, with the second July 26-30.
The camps will be directed by men’s Coach Lee Smelser and women’s Coach Greg Herrick.

VOLLEYBALL
* The Ventura County East-West senior all-star matches will be played June 4 at Moorpark College.
The girls’ match will be played at 7 p.m. and the boys’ match at 8 p.m.
