Memorial Day Event Set at Park

CAMARILLO — A memorial service to honor men and women who have died while in the armed forces will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Conejo Mountain Memorial Park in Camarillo.
Members of several American Legion posts, retired female Army pilots, local political leaders and representatives from more than a dozen service organizations will be in attendance for the ceremony, titled “Lest We Forget.”
World War II aircraft are scheduled to fly over the service, which will feature keynote speaker retired U.S. Navy Capt. James W. Phillips.
Conejo Mountain Memorial Park is at 2052 Howard Road. The public is invited to the ceremony and a free luncheon afterward at the American Legion Post No. 741 at 7 Nellora St.
