The Moorpark senior has completed 73 of 113 passes for 1,004 yards and five touchdowns.

McLaughlin, among four quarterbacks in the region to surpass 1,000 yards after four games, moves well in the pocket and has forged a connection with receiver Chris Vizzi, who has 30 catches for 451 yards.

“We’re just throwing the ball a little bit more,” Coach Tim Lins said. “And [McLaughlin is] a good athlete.”
