The streak finally ended at Hart.
Not the Indians’ 47-game winning streak in the Foothill League--that ended last season.
This streak--a losing one--lasted four league games, dating to last season, and was snapped by the Hart girls’ basketball team on Tuesday with a 51-37 victory over Saugus.
Still, the Indians (6-11, 1-3) have taken some hits this season.
“It’s called ‘Be patient,’ ” said Coach Dave Munroe, who guided the Indians to seven consecutive league titles.
“You can’t be on top forever.”
Three freshmen are on the team, including guard Amanda Patton, giving the Indians hope for the future.
“We’re not done here yet,” Munroe said. “We’re young and inexperienced, but we’ll be good again.”
