* No. 12 UCLA (9-4, 3-0) at No. 16 ARIZONA (14-2, 3-1), 6 PST--This will be the Bruins’ first major challenge in their quest for another Pacific 10 championship. UCLA is the only unbeaten Pac-10 team, sweeping Washington and Washington State on the road and beating USC at home. Arizona got its first-ever sweep at the Washington schools last week. Six Wildcats shoot 36% or better on three-point attempts.
* USC (7-6, 2-1) at ARIZONA STATE (10-4, 3-1), 6 PST--USC Coach Chris Gobrecht is still looking for the formula that enabled her Trojans to play a near-flawless first half against Washington two weeks ago. It was missing last weekend, when USC came out flat at UCLA and lost, 82-62. In Arizona State, the Trojans face the surprise team of the Pac-10. The Sun Devils, 12-15 last season, are off to their best conference start in 13 years. A Trojan challenge tonight will be to defend freshman guard Sarah Allen on the outside. She was six for eight on three-point shots last weekend. USC is 39-4 against Arizona State.
