The principal of Capistrano Valley High School in Mission Viejo has been chosen to head Tesoro High School, which is set to open in fall 2001.
Daniel Burch was selected by the Capistrano Unified School District’s board of trustees during a closed session this week.
Tesoro will be the first high school built in the district since 1993, when Aliso Niguel High opened in Aliso Viejo. The campus, in an unincorporated area, will be near the intersection of Oso Parkway and the Foothill Transportation Corridor.
