During its midyear budget review on Friday, the City Council will consider whether to spend $9,000 to help keep Aliso Creek clean.
The special meeting will allow council members to discuss the midyear budget, but they will not take final actions on anything until their Feb. 16 meeting, said Leslie Keane, city manager.
Council members last week agreed they should spend $2,000 in water quality testing at Aliso Creek and $7,000 to increase street sweeping, which would help keep the creek clear.
The public is welcome to attend the 1:30 p.m. Friday meeting at Leisure World’s Administration Building, Board Room, 23522 Paseo de Valencia.
