Police searched the Washington, D.C., apartment of a missing Modesto woman a second time Monday night, looking for fingerprints, strands of hair and blood traces.
Metropolitan Police Sgt. Joe Gentile said detectives still have few clues and no theories about the disappearance earlier this month of Chandra Ann Levy, 24, a student at USC.
Her parents, Robert and Susan Levy of Modesto, were scheduled to fly to Washington on Tuesday night in the hope of providing leads to police.
Levy vanished after E-mailing her parents May 1 about her planned return to Southern California for commencement at USC. She had just completed a six-month internship with the U.S. Bureau of Prisons.
