“We’ve been in that situation before and I thought our guys just stepped it up when they had to,” Coach Kevin Kornegay said.
In the final game, the Vikings (28-4) rallied behind seniors Corey Feldt and Chris Haigh, although it was junior Chris Savage whose kill finished off the Bulldogs (25-7).
Haigh finished with 25 kills, Feldt had 20 kills and 11 digs, and Savage had 11 kills and nine blocks. Tony Ker had 13 digs, 12 kills and 10 blocks.
