Festival to Celebrate Regent’s Reopening

To celebrate the reopening of the refurbished Regent Theatre in Westwood, Landmark Theatres will hold a film festival there this weekend featuring nine movies that have been named best picture by the Los Angeles Film Critics Assn.
The festival begins Saturday with screenings of “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” at 11 a.m., “Kramer vs. Kramer” at 1:45 p.m., “Brazil” at 4:15 p.m., “Hope and Glory” at 7:15 p.m. and “Hannah and Her Sisters” at 10 p.m.
On Sunday, the festival concludes with “L.A. Confidential” at 11:30 a.m., “Unforgiven” at 2:30 p.m., “Dog Day Afternoon” at 5:30 p.m. and “Atlantic City” at 8:25 p.m.
Critics will be on hand to introduce each film.
