At Least 69 Dead in Flooding in La Paz

Rescue workers pulled more bodies from swollen rivers around La Paz, the capital, bringing the death toll from powerful rainstorms to 69.
Mayor Juan del Granado said Tuesday’s storm left 150 people injured. He estimated the damage at $60 million.
President Jorge Quiroga declared a state of emergency Wednesday and appealed for aid.
