Democrats Too?

“Democrats Push Some Tax Cuts” (April 20), the story of Sacramento Democrats pushing 30 tax-break bills, was appalling. The idea that we should cut health-care spending, education money and more, so that multimillionaire NFL team owners can have a five-year break on corporate taxes [if they relocate in a redevelopment area] -- just one of many Democratic proposals designed to favor those who need help the least -- is disgusting. I expect tax cuts for the rich from Republicans, but not from the party whose governor is preaching the necessity of belt-tightening and shared sacrifice.
