Noonan’s Goal Helps Revolution Tie Crew

Rookie Pat Noonan scored in the 54th minute to lift the New England Revolution into a 1-1 tie with the Columbus Crew on Wednesday night in front of 14,632 fans at Columbus, Ohio.
Jeff Matteo -- making the first start of his career -- gave the Crew (5-6-5) a 1-0 lead in the 33rd minute with a left-footed shot from 12 yards.
It was Columbus’ first goal in almost a month, a span of 253 minutes.
New England (5-5-7), playing its fourth game in 11 days, ended a two-game losing streak.

Washington 2, Boston 2 -- Abby Wambach scored in the 85th minute as Washington (7-6-4) rallied to tie in front of 9,070 fans at Boston (7-4-6).
San Diego 1, New York 1 -- Julie Fleeting scored unassisted at 57:10 to give San Diego (6-5-7) a tie with New York (7-8-3) in front of 5,793 fans in San Diego.
