A feud between members of two neighboring families erupted into gunfire late Wednesday, leaving a man dead, police said.
About 10 p.m., Jerry Owens, 28, was visiting family members at one of the homes in the 200 block of West Evans Street when he was confronted by two men and two teenage boys on the front lawn, said San Bernardino Police Sgt. Brian Boom.
All four of the assailants, who are suspected gang members, opened fire, killing Owens, police said. During the shooting, one of the suspects, Darrell Taylor, 23, was shot by one of his friends, Boom said. Taylor and a 16-year-old boy were arrested, he said.
