Security at County Courthouses Is Lacking
- Share via
I just had the privilege of serving as a juror at a criminal trial at the Harbor Justice Center.
I travel a great deal overseas on business and am well versed in the precautions being taken at airports around the world.
I was therefore amazed that I was able to enter the courthouse and courtroom for three days with my briefcase and never once was stopped or searched. I mentioned this to the bailiff. He said it was because of a lack of funds and asked if I would bring this to the attention of your readers.
This lack of security is a time bomb.
