Botanic Garden to Send Seeds to Iraq

The Santa Barbara Botanic Garden is planning to donate some of its seeds to a Marine Corps sergeant working to revitalize Iraq’s decimated gardens.
The facility agreed to make the donations after receiving an e-mail from Sgt. Viridiana Ibarra-Wilkerson, who wants to restore the Za’faraniyah Botanical Garden near Abu Ghraib prison.
