A man from the Montecito Heights area was booked on suspicion of murder in the stabbing deaths of his domestic partner and her 15-year-old son, authorities said.
Emilio Heredia, 39, was arrested Monday night at his home in the 500 block of East Avenue 28. Police, who arrived after receiving reports of a domestic disturbance, said they found Carol Bloomfield, 36, and her son, Jonathan Bloomfield, both badly wounded. Carol Bloomfield died at the scene; her son died at a hospital.
Also home, but unharmed, were Heredia and Bloomfield’s two young boys, a 2-year-old and a 7-month-old. They were placed in protective custody.
Heredia was being held in lieu of $2-million bail.
