Re “Bay Area Lawmaking -- the Weird and the Wonderful,” Feb. 23
So it’s progressive for San Francisco supervisors to waste taxpayer money and their time considering a resolution calling for an “impeachment of Dick Cheney”? What toothless wonders.
I guess it’s also progressive to attempt to deny Americans their 2nd Amendment rights, which the Bay Area has attempted to do for years, and to tax fast-food chains for litter that they don’t generate. How about this “progressive” approach to the litter problem: have a few public enforcement officers begin fining the litterers substantial amounts for their transgressions, therefore shifting the onus to the people responsible for it.
