A U.S. Coast Guard helicopter plucked a man and his pet cockatoo from near the top of a 75-foot tree in Porter after he became stranded while trying to coax the creature out of the branches.

“The man and bird were flown to Williams Airport in Porter. Both were reported to be in good condition,” the Coast Guard said.
