Knockin’ on a world record

From Times Wire Reports
About 1,730 guitarists played Bob Dylan’s “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” in India’s remote northeastern hills, attempting to break the world record for the largest guitar ensemble.
The guitarists at a stadium in the town of Shillong aimed to break the Guinness record set in Kansas City, Kan., in June when 1,721 guitarists performed Deep Purple’s “Smoke on the Water.”
There were no adjudicators from Guinness at the Indian event, but its organizers claimed their feat would be recognized as they had two witnesses in keeping with Guinness rules.
