Northrop moves to hold contract

Northrop Grumman Corp. filed a motion to dismiss significant portions of Boeing Co.’s protest of a $35-billion contract to supply aerial refueling tankers to the Air Force. The contract was awarded last month to Northrop and European partner EADS.
Century City-based Northrop is filing the request with the Government Accountability Office after Chicago-based Boeing filed a formal protest of the Air Force award for 179 tankers this month.
