* Update: Weaver, who was 2-0 with a 2.11 ERA in three starts against the Twins last season, earned the opening-day assignment by going 5-0 with a 1.37 ERA in six exhibition starts. Vladimir Guerrero is the only Angel with more than seven at-bats against Hernandez; the slugger has 13 hits, including a home run and three doubles, in 29 at-bats (.448) against the veteran right-hander. Guerrero also has the most opening-day RBIs (18) among active players, ahead of Ken Griffey Jr., Jeff Kent and Gary Sheffield (16 each).
