‘Into the Woods,’ ‘Guardians’ among make-up and hair award nominees

“Nightcrawler,” “Gone Girl” and “Guardians of the Galaxy” were among the nominees announced Thursday for the 15th Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild Awards.
Vying in the contemporary make-up category are “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” “Gone Girl,” “Guardians of the Galaxy,” “Interstellar” and “Nightcrawler.”
In contention for the period and/or character make-up award are “Hunger Games: Mockingjay -- Part I,” “Into the Woods,” “The Grant Budapest Hotel,” “The Theory of Everything” and “Unbroken.”
Special make-up effects nominations went to “Foxcatcher,” “Guardians of the Galaxy,” “Into the Woods,” “Maleficent” and “The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.”
Nominated for contemporary hair styling were “Birdman,” “Guardians of the Galaxy,” “Interstellar,” “St. Vincent” and “Winter’s Tale.”
Vying in the period and/or character hairstyling category are “Get On Up,” “Into the Woods,” “Selma,” “The Grand Budapest Hotel” and “The Theory of Everything.”
The awards will be presented at the Paramount Theatre on the Paramount Pictures lot in Hollywood on Feb. 14.
