Chargers blank White Bears

Eugene Starikov scored all three Huntington Beach touchdowns and

the Green Charger defense came up with another shutout in an 18-0 victory

over the Saddleback Valley White Bears Saturday in a Pop Warner Jr. Pee

Wee Division game held at Edison High.

The rushing of Josh Herrera, who gained his yardage behind the

blocking of Tim Lowe, Lawrence Lujan, and Robert Raad, set up two of

Starikov’s scores.

Jake Slaton had a fumble recovery and Nick Josenhans had an

interception to lead a Green Charger defense that also received

outstanding play from Adam Halstead, Jake DiNolfi, and Richard Parry.

In last week’s opener against Canyon Hills, the Green Charger

defense recorded a 13-0 shutout victory.
