TODAY
Who was that masked man? “The Mask of Zorro” will play at dusk today
as part of the Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort’s Free Family Flicks
series. The Dunes is at 1131 Back Bay Drive, Newport Beach. Free, but

SUNDAY
What the artist saw. “Portrait of the Artist,” an exhibit of works
from the Orange County Museum of Art’s collection exploring questions of
self and identity in 20th century American art, will be up through Oct. 7
at the museum’s satellite gallery in South Coast Plaza, 3333 Bristol St.,

MONDAY
Cruise around. The Orange County Cruisin’ Assn.’s Labor Day Car Cruise
will take place this weekend at the Orange County Fairgrounds, 88 Fair
Drive, Costa Mesa, with all sorts of popular automobiles on display. The
event will take place from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. today and Sunday, and from 9
a.m. to noon Monday. $8 adults, $7 military and seniors, free for

TUESDAY
Photographic magic. “Canoes, Johnson’s Beach” is among an exhibition
of small toned/stained silver and platinum prints by artist Randall
Ingalls on display through Sept. 25 at Orange Coast College’s Photo
Gallery, 2701 Fairview Road, Costa Mesa. The gallery, in OCC’s Fine Arts
Building, is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Free.

WEDNESDAY
Pop-art video. “One Wall: A Video Series,” an exhibit by six Southern
California artists who incorporate video into their works, will be open
through Sept. 9 at the Orange County Museum of Art, 850 San Clemente
Drive, Newport Beach. Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through
Sundays. Museum admission is $5 for adults, $4 seniors and students, and
